How to Wash a Car

This article talks about the basics of washing a car and how often it should be done.

“It is easiest to start with the outside,” said Matthew Grande who has started his own business working on detailing and cleaning cars. He learned to clean cars from his dad and youtube and started his business 7 years ago and in that time has cleaned tons of different cars inside and out. He says “it is easiest to start with the outside because you usually have large metal or plastic surfaces that can just be wiped away.”

Someone common errors he sees when we looks at cars others have cleaned is that they don’t spend enough time on the car he says “this is not a short process if you really want your car to be clean you will need to set aside 4-5 hours of your day.” he also said “you will probably need to schedule the cleaning in advance because it will be much harder to clean if it is dark outside”

One question that is being asked is how often you should clean your car? He responded by saying “you should get your car cleaned about once a month, you don’t want to go too much longer because that dirt and filth can build up and start to cause damage.”

He suggested that you get your car cleaned by a real person because if you were to go through a car it could damage your paint. Even the touchless car washes could leave streaks of water on your car also making it not look as good as it could. He also said “if you take it to a real person then you will get the full treatment rather than just the outside.”

Matthews final words of wisdom were “you should fit washing your car into your schedule just like a chore because if you keep the car nice it will last longer and look better as you go about your life.”
